What were some of your professional highlights of 2021?

Jumping in to sign Taraji P. Henson and Octavia Spencer; selling projects for Melina Matsoukas, and Saweetie in the TV-Alternative Space; closing production deals for Chris Paul's Ohh Dipp!!! Productions WHY NOT US for ESPN and Brittany Luse and Eric Eddings’ podcast FOR COLORED NERDS for Stitcher (which they own 100%); and, adding Showrunners LaNee Griffin-Carroll (CARDI TRIES, OFF THEE LEASH WITH MEGAN THEE STALLION), Rachael Edwards (THA GOD’S HONEST TRUTH), and Jamail Shelton (THE CUBE) to diversify our Showrunner list is all work that I am very proud of! What I love the most is that these clients sincerely appreciate my POV, and we are all working toward the same goa - to put out content that authentically represents our culture and have the right people in position to execute that intended vision. Doing this work has been euphoric for me!

What are you most looking forward to in 2022?

There is a present-day renaissance going on in Hollywood; and, I am absolutely honored to be in the middle of this movement. Creators of all kinds are currently out in the market with projects that will forever change the landscape of entertainment. It is so exciting that projects are so much more inclusive -which is liberating for people who don't fit into traditional models society.

What is your theme word for 2022?

Emancipation - it is time for innovation on so many levels of this industry. I am going to be on the frontlines of this metamorphosis, so five years from now, there will be more people like me at the table!
