[NBPA] Partnerships Summer Intern

The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) is the union for current professional basketball players in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Established in 1954, the NBPA’s mission is to protect and advance the rights of our players. They are the game.

The NBPA advocates on behalf of the best interests of all NBA players, including through the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, the filing of grievances on behalf of the players, and counseling players on benefits, educational and post-NBA career opportunities. Business opportunities are generated by THINK450, the group licensing and partnership engine of the NBPA. With more than 80 active partnerships, THINK450 is dedicated to uncovering shared interests between players and leading brands to build more engaging collaborations.

POSITION OVERVIEW

THINK450’s Partnerships group is searching for a driven, motivated individual to join the team as an intern. This person will be an integral part of the team and expected to work across multiple disciplines to help develop and execute brand partnerships. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create post-campaign recap presentations.

  • Support the team in the development of B2B email outreach.

  • Join brainstorms and contribute creative ideas to upcoming and current projects.

  • Leverage social listening platforms to develop insights profiles for NBPA members.

  • Intern will complete one (1) project and oral presentation prior to Internship completion.

  • Create operational efficiencies through the enhancement of current organizational and administrative tools.

  • Support the team’s partnership prospecting efforts through industry, category, and prospect research.

  • Assist with the execution of sponsorship programs (e.g., events, branded content campaigns, etc.), including support with partner management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Organized with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communicator

  • Undergraduate (Junior/Senior) or Graduate student

  • Ready to take on different kinds of tasks and willing to support coworkers and management on a day-to-day basis

  • Interested in sales, marketing and brand research as well as lifestyle, culture, and spor

DATES: June 3rd – August 8th
