[SKYDANCE] Intern, Television Production (Summer)
Skydance Media is looking for motivated and enthusiastic Summer interns! Skydance was founded in 2010 with David Ellison’s ambitious vision to establish a diversified media company to create high-quality content and engaging experiences for a global audience. This internship will work closely with the TV Physical Production team and offers its own unique learning opportunities. You will have the chance to network and meet with Skydance leaders, learn about and contribute to a variety of production-related tasks, and gain real-world experience.
This is a ten-week long paid, full-time internship. You must be able to work 9:00 AM-6:00 PM for the duration of this internship program.
This internship application will close on April 1st, 2025.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Listen in on production meetings with Skydance leadership
Handle confidential correspondence, reports, presentations and other documents
Gain exposure working with facility, vendor and film office reps by shadowing the physical production team coordinators
Develop a general understanding of the physical production process, including pre-production planning, location analysis, budgeting, scheduling and post production
Support daily office operations including but not limited to helping with inventory and tracking of production assets, updating distro lists, managing Scenechronize, document auditing, deliverables and helping with digital file organization in Box
Learn what it takes to open a writers’ room, onboard a production office and wrap a show
REQUIREMENTS
Strong interest in physical production and the entertainment industry
Must be available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Must be available for 10-week program, Monday, June 9 - Friday, August 15
Proficiency in MS Office; Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Google Suite
Self-starter with proficient writing and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task
Must be currently enrolled in an Associates, Bachelor or Master’s program at an accredited institution
Ability to excel in a high-powered, fast-paced media entertainment environment
The hourly rate for this non-exempt position in Santa Monica is $17.81
You must be available to work full-time from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (PT) for the duration of the program (Mon-Fri, June 9 to August 15). Our offices will be closed on June 19 and July 4. Aside from those dates, no additional vacation days can be accommodated.
